About these terms

These terms apply to the XLBookMe service: the booking pages it publishes for businesses, and the tools those businesses use to manage their appointments.

Using the service means accepting these terms.

What XLBookMe does

XLBookMe provides the technology a business uses to take and manage appointments. The appointment itself is between the customer and that business.

XLBookMe is not a party to that appointment, does not provide the services being booked, and does not take payment for them.

Using the service

• provide accurate information when booking or when setting up a business
• keep account credentials secure, and tell us if they are compromised
• do not use the service unlawfully, or to interfere with it or with anyone else's use of it
• a business using XLBookMe is responsible for the content it publishes and for honouring the appointments it accepts

SMS Messaging Terms

This section describes the XLBookMe appointment notification messaging programme. A customer booking an appointment may optionally opt in to receive transactional, booking-related text messages from XLBookMe about that appointment. Opting in is not required to make a booking, and the box is never ticked in advance.

These messages may include appointment confirmations and booking-related updates. They are sent on behalf of the specific business the customer booked with, using XLBookMe as the technology platform.

A business owner can also choose to receive one text message a day listing their own business's appointments (the Daily Schedule SMS). Only the owner can turn it on, from their XLBookMe account: they agree to the wording shown beside an unticked checkbox and confirm their mobile number with a 6-digit code texted to it, and nothing is sent to a number that has not been confirmed. Customers are never enrolled in it. It is sent at most once a day, at a morning time the owner chooses, and stops when the owner turns it off in their account or replies STOP.

Message frequency varies depending on bookings and activity. Message and data rates may apply.

Reply STOP to opt out of further messages. Reply HELP for help.

Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

WhatsApp Messaging Terms

A customer giving an international mobile number may optionally opt in to receive transactional, booking-related WhatsApp messages. Opting in is not required to make a booking, the box is never ticked in advance, and it is a separate agreement from the text-message one.

These messages are sent from an XLBookMe WhatsApp number on behalf of the specific business the customer booked with. The number does not belong to that business.

The XLBookMe WhatsApp number is not monitored. Replies are not read and are not answered. Questions, changes and cancellations go to the business directly, using the contact details given in the message.

Message frequency varies depending on bookings and activity. These messages can be stopped at any time in WhatsApp.

XLBookMe sends text messages only to United States numbers and does not send international text messages. Where WhatsApp is not available for a destination, no message is sent and the booking is confirmed by email instead.

Email messages

Booking confirmations and booking-related updates are also sent by email. These are transactional messages about an appointment, not marketing.

Availability

We aim to keep the service available and working, but we do not guarantee that it will be uninterrupted or error-free. The service may be changed or maintained from time to time.

Liability

To the extent the law allows, XLBookMe is not liable for indirect or consequential loss arising from use of the service, including a missed, changed or cancelled appointment.

Ending use

A business may stop using the service at any time. We may suspend or end access where these terms are broken or where required to protect the service or its users.

Changes to these terms

If these terms change, the effective date above will change with it.
